Motivational Monday: 4/4/2016

To the college student,

First I want to tell you good job! I am so proud of you for the fact that you made the proper steps to go to college. I personally understand how you feel; you’re excited about this new adventure.

I want to encourage you to keep going. I know it might be difficult to manage your time, work, projects, your social life and a job (if you have one, if you don’t that okay). I want you to remember to take care of yourself, even if you just sit down and watch television and eat snacks to rest your nerves then do so. Find ways to release stress whether it’s going to the gym, Netflix, shopping (please don’t spend all your money).

Those that are in a different head space (i.e. Not knowing if you’re doing things right, scared about what’s next after graduation. I say to you calm down! It’s okay if you don’t know the next step there is nothing wrong with you. Take time to reward yourself (you made it to college,  be happy girl!)

Once you have cleared you mind, now it’s time to make a plan. Write down your goals (short-term and long-term); decide if you want to go to grad school or if you already in grad school, what are the steps you should take to get your certification, licensure, etc.  You don’t have to know all the details now, just write down what you would like to see yourself accomplishment within a timely fashion.

To my non-traditional college students, Welcome to college!  If no one have told you yet, Great job! You’re awesome, and congratulations!  I want to give you all some motivation because you are juggling a full-time work load, kids, husbands, bills, crazy neighbors, etc. I say to you don’t stop. Keep going. You’re smart, a trendsetter. I want you to continue to study hard. Make it interesting,  study and do your homework with your children, it can be a way for you and your children to spend time with each other.

I hope you all enjoyed this week’s motivational Monday. I want all of you to know that I’m proud of you and to keep up the good work.

 Purpose

My main purpose of the diary entry is to provide a way for women to release any tension she may have. I don’t want anyone to bottle up their emotions, thoughts, etc. Also I want this to be a way for women to find a support system. Most women don't have a mother, or a friend they can communicate with. I believe that no women should fight alone.

If you have any questions, concerns, or have a topic for a session please send me a email.

Product Review: Aphogee Restructurizer

I am starting to change out the product that I'm currently using and starting oved with new products that will help and rebuilt my hair now that I have cut it. I've been using this product for about two months now and I love it. I like the ingredients that are in this product for that it helps my hair become stronger and a little bit easier to detangle (detangling my will always be a hard job for me).

I think everyone should try this product. It’s a great purchase, and should be in your hair product stash. I brought this product for $8.

Leave me a comment or send me an email about your favorite hair products or if you have any products you would like for me to review.

Where have you been ?

Hey everyone! Hope all is well and positive.
Okay so, I've been M.I.A. There have been a lot going on in my crazy more so boring life. I published my blog on august 5, 2015. I published my blog before I had any of the proper material and equipment to work or manage a blog. I brought a camera that didn't have memory card or an exporting cord (right, that's why it was such a low price on amazon lol). Also during this time I had trouble with my cell phone. First my phone stopped working and I had to wait five weeks to get a new phone sent to me here in savannah at school. Once I got the phone it was stolen two months after having it. (I know, I guess the universe didn't want me to communicate.) To receive my replacement phone for the phone that was stolen I had to wait about two months to get. If that wasn't enough, doing this sometime my computer shut down on me. (I just couldn't get a break). My new laptop was sent in a good amount of time where that, I didn't fall behind in my classes. Now remember all of this happened in one semester.
In all honesty, I was more worried about getting the things that I needed for school than my blog at that time. If you don't know I'm a junior in college getting my degree in Behavior Analysis. I was really upset that I couldn't work on my blog the way I wanted to. I can feel that blogging will be a great way for me to work on my craft, and the fact that I couldn’t do it really made me feel sad,  I was receiving messages and getting comment from supporters about my blog, and if I was going to continue with blogging. It really hurt my feelings that I had people supporting me but I was not giving them what they wanted.
I remember posting a picture on my personal Facebook page of me studying on a Friday night (Yes I study on a Friday night.... I just told you that my life was boring lol) and a friend of the family made a comment on the post that stated that she was about to do the exact something, and her comment made me realize that the subject of non-traditional female students receiving higher education was going to be one of my main topic and supports here on the Big Girl Guide. Another event happened where I found myself more than ready to get back in the game… A student on campus that I know told me that she was feeling down and was going through a discouraging moment in her life and she said “I don’t talk to anyone... I just keep everything in and I don’t say anything to anyone” I immediate told her that I was basically not leaving until she told me what was going on.  I don’t want ANY woman thinking she is alone. I want all women to know that, even though you might not know me personally but I care for you and I will support you in whatever you set your mind to.  I want all the Big Girl Guide readers and subscribers to think of me as your motivational helper. This event with this student was one of the main reasons why I wanted to have my blog so that everyone can have a support system and can come to this platform and have a community that will encourage, and motivate them in whatever obstacle or journey they are going through.
But! With these events that reminded me about my projects kept me focus on making my blog better. I never stopped thinking about working in the blogging and motivation industries. I have a lot of ideas planned (in my head) that I want to do. Now that I have everything I need ...for right now I am ready to start my programs that I believe will be a great asset to all women. (More information on these programs will be posted on a later date).
